I made a contact with a person who is making parabolic microphones for sound recording if anyone is interested. You can email him if you have any questions.

I have gotten us a little discount for the forum members. Just be sure to mention you are a Alabama Bigfoot Research Forum member.

The cost of materials limits how much of a discount I can offer.
I have compiled the pricing I can offer your group members.
To make it convenient I will separate "Parabolic Dish" & "Microphone Unit" costs:

22" Parabolic Dish:
$31 each for qty of 1,  $30 each for qty 2 or more

Microphone Unit (includes battery box & mounting hardware, no dish):
$34 each for qty of 1,  $32 each for qty 2 or more

Shipping via UPS ground to zip 36548:
$15 for any single shipment of up to (8) dishes

i.e. (1) dish + (1)mic = $31+$34+$15=$80
(2) dishes +(2)mics= $30x2+$32x2+$15= $139
etc...........

I usually have 4 or 5 mics & dishes ready to ship immediately.   I may need a few days to complete orders of larger quantities.

Payment accepted directly thru paypal.

You can view photos and info on these on ebay.

You can order directly on ebay..but you want get the little discount.

I am planning on ordering a few of them myself and see how they work. If anyone else gets one..be sure to let us know what you think.

Mike, I own one of those and bought it from Steve off of e-bay last year. The quality of the parabola is good but it's really useless without a CMOY--to boost the power. Buyers will also need to buy separately a stereo microphone because it's setup for monaural use only. I just wanted to tell everone that if they want to amplify the signal that they are recieving and want it in true stereo sound the things that I mentioned above must be done. I would not have known all this if you hadn't helped me last winter and told me what I needed to do. Also, the battery box that you recieve I thought is pretty flimsy and you will have to fashion your own handle---or at least that's the way he was selling them last winter.Oh yeah, you will have to asssemble it and measure the focal point too.  Overall--good parabola, the rest is ok if you are handy with tools and aren't discouraged by a small project .----That's my product review, anyway, for what it's worth.---Come on frost and booger huntin weather!!---TnC---
