This past weekend I went out into one of my sites and did an experiment with NA music and a ceremony .
I went out on Sat and met up with a few fellow researchers that had stayed the night before . I had asked if there had been any activity and the response was no , in fact they had all been talking about finding another place to research because this area just didnt seem to be active any more . I even had a few of them thinking I had been making up all the experiences and activity that I get when I go out there .
I decided to do my usual routine and then sat down and bs for a while, during this time I played NA flute music on and off .
Some where around 9pm I decided to do the ceremony and during the ceremony, I played round circle or powwow drumming .
After wards, we sat down and I told everyone to go about their business . Within thirty mins we had activity starting up and the rest of the evening was productive .
This is not the first time I have done this and I recommend any one to give it a try ( the music part that is ) .
By the time I left that night I had a couple of them come up and apologize to me for doubting me ..............

Congratulations and thanks for bringing up a point and that is: Patience!
For me, the patience thing was a big hurdle that I had to overcome. But, I've persevered and have been rewarded. I studied maps til my eyes nearly fell out. I checked to see where the watersheds were located and then drove around out in the country with my husband using my miniscule spare time which turned into hundreds of miles.
Within about a few months we staked out a place and have had some amazing and some unexplainable things happen so to quote an old saying, "Patience is a virtue" plus if the Shadow Folk want to interact with you, it's good to make them feel comfortable with your visits.

Can you tell us what type of activity you started having?
I would like to hear a recording of what you do. Have you tried recording any of what goes on out there?

carolann, thanks for sharing. I have used the NA music as well, usually in meditation, with some success. I was planning to do it at the bama outing, but due to there being more activity without it than i expected i didn't.
Thanks, shane

Hi everyone ,
Sunflower - Yes , patience is a virtue ! I cant begin to tell you how many times I have sat there with nothing going on and when all or some of the others leave the area the activity picks up .
Mike - Vocalizations , tree knocks, whistling and a couple of people heard what sounded like a baby crying . I had a return vocal to mine and my boyfriend and another heard the " baby cry " . All of the activity was coming from the same direction except for a couple of the tree knocks that came across from the other side of the creek . Wildphotographer was there and might be able to remember if any other things happened .
Shane - good call on that one . I have been incorporating the music and the ceremonies in my research for a while now and am learning what ceremony , prayers and music to use and when .
A few weeks ago Wild , my boyfriend and I were at the same site as above and I decided to do a ceremony and certain prayer . After I was finished , we sat down and waited . I soon became very nervous and uneasy and I kept that feeling until later on the next day . The place had developed an unsafe feeling to it and at one point we all were startled by the most powerful and loud tree knock that came from just a few yards up in the tree line behind us .
We decided to leave not too long after that and we packed up and left . As we were driving out we had the windows up and doors locked and this was being done by Charles , who it is very hard to unnerve him .
The following Monday I received an e-mail from Wild asking how we were feeling .
I responded with , for the last two days we have been very tired and on edge . We just couldnt pinpoint the feelings . I also told him about having the windows up .
Wild then responded with just about the same thing as what we had been feeling .
Needless to say , I dont think I will do that prayer for a while lol .
Donna - I have let Wild video tape it twice ( even tho your not supposed to ) and I am still not sure if I am gonna let him put it in an up and coming documentary that he is doing . When it comes to recording what goes on, there is usually someone around doing that . I am not sure if anyone was able to get any of the stuff that was going on or not .
Too funny Donna , " never doubt the cryptoseeker " for some reason people just dont believe me when it comes to the things that I have experienced with the big guy and with the paranormal .

Thanks for the reply. You did the right thing by leaving when you did. When things get "too hairy" listen to that feeling. You can always return at a later time. I always warn folks..don't push things too far when dealing with these creatures.
Always enjoy reading your posts.

Hey Mike ,
The inner voice , sixth sense , womens intuition , gut feeling and whatever else it might be called lol has never failed me . There has been times where I have not heeded the little voice and have regretted doing so .
The same for when I feel like I am being watched , followed or are not alone . I have been out in the woods or at home and have spoken up about one of those things and everyone around me seems to be clueless or just blows me off .
My grandmother was one who could sense things and she would make comments about her passing it on to me . I believe we all have it , its just some are more in tune to it then others .
I too enjoy your posts .....

I think you discussed this a while ago and I went out and found some freely available NA flute music on the internet ( and by free I mean the artists have put their music out for public use ).
I also found some Australian didgeradoo ( I'm sure I spelled that wrong ) music as well. If you haven't heard it imagine a 6 foot long bass flute.
Now to actually do something with it
Thanks for the time you take sharing your findings with us.

It sounds like you had a great evening of research. I'm glad to hear that you were able to get some results from the music. I look forward to more posts from you on this topic.

Geneaut - I do know what your talking about and I never thought about playing that kind of sound for them , I will have to give it a try . Thank YOU for sharing that with us !!!
Gena - I have been doing the music part for a while now and just recently started incorporating the ceremonies and prayers into my research .
It has been a trial and error thing with that part lol , I do believe that the reason for the bad experience on the one outing was due to my error and I had expressed it to Wild and my boyfriend but went ahead and conducted it anyways .
I did the ceremony without covering my shoulders and I allowed it to be video taped , which is both considered to be disrespectful .

I have to admit the idea to play the Native Australian didgeridoo sounds came from some stuff I read about the Australian bigfoot like creature called the Yowie. Certain stories I read indicate that it seems to be attracted to the sounds of music as well.
Music soothes the savage beast, as they say. At worst I figure I night outside listening to music is never a night wasted ... even if I don't accomplish my research goals LOL.

Geneaut, I am also affected by the didgeridoo. Especially when it's live. It seems to go right to the innards and shake them around. For that reason, I'd hesitate to try it on the big'uns. I wonder if any of the Oz members are still around and if they have any thoughts.
I like the NA drums but also think they can be a bit 'rousing' at times. The flute, though, is very soothing to me. I wonder if the 'beings' would find it the same.

| Normally, I do not post due to my lack of knowledge and being somewhat uncomfortable discussing this topic, but my experience may benefit active researchers in regards to the music topic. It has taken me several years to come to grips with this brief but quite startling event. My only encounter with one of these animals happened when I was playing my acoustic guitar on the edge of the woods one night. I play all types of music but I was working on a classical piece at the time. By working on, I mean when the fingers don't do what they are supposed to, I start over. My best guess is that this lack of fluidity provoked a response from the animal. I had been playing for around 30 minutes before it let me know it was there with an extremely loud sound of what I think was disapproval. The previous replies about the steady rythm of the NA music seems to support why it yelled at me. I have gained most of my knowledge of bf from this sight and want to thank you all for letting me lurk (in a positive manner).

Dave - I play several different cds .
As soon as I can, I am having a guy I know that plays NA flute music and he is a Cracker Cowboy Singer , come out on some outings and play and maybe sing .
Scabs - Funny and interesting story ! Nothing like a critic lol !
I have gone into a couple of my sites and as I am setting up , I will sometimes play music , ie Tesla, G-N-R or country, whatever my mood was at that time . I only have received a response with the Tesla music , which has been a few tree knocks and a whistle .
