Several have been complaining cause nobody seems to go into the chat room any more, so I'm gonna try something.
I'm announcing a set time so those who want to chat can meet up with others of like mind. I suggest 9 pm Sunday night, just after Bigfoot Outlaw Radio is over at 8:30. Some of us will be there before 9, but that time seems a good one for a start.
Here's your chance to discuss BF in the chat so take advantage of it. I will remain their till about 9:15 unless those who want to chat show up, then that will be a moot point.
Remember, Sunday Night, May 17 at 9 pm central, 10 for eastern folk, and later for ones farther west, but that gets too complicated for a Redneck like me. Haha.

This is a good thing. I know that I have popped in there a couple times and no one was there, but that was before I was smacked upside my head (Bear) and found out that the chat may show people who aren't really there. Thanks Bro! I need a good smack every once in a while. lol. Now if we can get people to show it'll be great.

Mark don't feel bad........Dan used to go in and think folks was ignoring him until he started noticing the time stamp lol Dang!!!!.......whys folks being unfriendly.......they won't talk to me.........Dan look at the time of the last post..........it was 5 hours ago etc lolol Wellllll glad to know that cause I was starting to wonder if my deodorant wasn't working lolol
We will be there with bells on tonight!!!

I wanted everyone to know that there were some that had been going directly to the chatroom without signing in to the forum. They had gotten the link to the chatroom before I made the changes in trying to make the forum more secure.
I have now changed the link and the old one will not work..so the only way to get the new link is to log in and use the link to the chatroom in the forum.
Of course once they do this..they will have the new link and can use the link again to bypass the forum. I will be randomly changing the link from time to time and it will be easy to figure out who is doing this. IPs will be blocked from the site until this stops.
I don't like folks looking around in my house that I don't know. All are welcome but don't come wearing a mask and hiding from the rest of the guest.

Hey Mike, isn't there a setting somewhere where you can set the chat to logged in forum members? I don't know what version, or host this is, but if I knew that I could research it and find out what you would have to do to fix it like that. To me, changing the link seems like too much work. There is always an easier way, just trying to help ya find it.

Yes there is a way to do this or was, but since I moved it outside of the forum and put it on a webpage of its own..I have voided that option. But, I have also added a hidden stat counter to that page and it tracks the visits to the chatroom and IP addresses. If the IP addresses of the posters/visitors to the chatroom don't match the visitors to the stat-counter..I got you!
If the IP address continues to show up in the stat-counter and not in the logged on chatroom log, I will block that IP from the website/forum/and anything connected with http://www.alabamabigfoot.com
In other words, I don't like trolls and spies and I will stop them from coming here, one way or another. This is for every members security and protection.
I also know that members go over to the chatroom just to see if anyone is there chating. Those that do usually leave right away. If you go over there and stay and there are others there..please logon and join the chat or leave. If you don't..you may get removed.

Please do me a favor, when I start auto-switching IP's, please don't kick me out....lol....This is something that will take place as soon as I get everything lined out. Why would I do this, you ask.......For the same reason that you are comparing IP's. lol. If and when we ever meet in person, I will gladly share the reasons for these things. It has nothing to do with anyone on the forum, I hope.

No problem..just so I know whats going on. I had one trouble maker that went to the trouble of jumping proxy servers just to annoy me. Caused me to have to do some extra work..but I figured out who it was.

Yeah, you would think so, Danny, but the opposite of good is bad, and for all the good we seem to have, you can bet, there are skunks running loose also.
On a more up-lifting subject, we will be all in the chat this Sunday night after the BOR radio show. It worked so well last week, we are gonna keep doing it and with a holiday this weekend (for a number of people), it should be fun. See you there, bro.

When in doubt, use their own ammunition against them. There is a cure for this, I just hope you aren't surprised by who actually visits the site. There are probably people here that really shouldn't be, or should they?
