I thought I should write this up before I forget any of it lol It was late Saturday night after we had got back from the boat trip down the river and we had all got a bite to eat. Talk turned to where and when we would be heading out to a location and how many trucks we had and how many wanted to go lol Me and Dan decided to stay at camp because that fire sure was feeling good and we both kinda wanted to see if anything might happen after the bulk of the group had left.........little did I know lol We retired to the camp site below the pavilion and stoked the fire real good and sit down and listened and watched. We had GG and Donna for company. I can't remember if Gena was there or not. I got up and walked over to where MonkeyBait and Gena's tents were and stood in between them and proceeded to do a call. I heard some russling in the leaves down the slope and heard a twig crack and as I turned around I heard the whiz of something coming and then a crack and thump when the rock hit the ground. I laughed and said I think I might ought to go get back to my chair lol

Me and Dan have talked about this a lot since we got back home. It all happened so fast..........his opionion is that they might have been aiming at the tree just behind him cause when he heard the crack he ducked and looked back up at the tree behind him which makes me feel some better cause I would much rather think they were aiming for that tree than me lol He also was the only male with us women folk at this spot at that time. There was 3 other men on up at the pavilion area and they were having their own rock encounters which we didn't know at the time lol I remember telling Pat when he came down about having the rock throwed at me and he said they had boulders thrown at them lol

Earlier in the evening probably about 4 hours or so Gena had remarked that something had been chunking rocks at her. She went on talking about something else and as I was watching her talk I saw a rock lobbed in. It came in between Pat and Donna's tents and landed just shy of the front flap of Kellys tent. It was tossed in not throwed......it had an arch to it when it came in and landed. Gave me the feeling of just being messed with to see how we would react, not aggressive if yall know what I mean. There was no one whatsoever in the area that this rock came in from.....total blackness.  We had cleaned out our camp area for rocks and such before we all pitched our tents on Thursday so it was easy to find these rocks that was thrown. They are my prize possessions!!!

In this first pix I have X'ed where I was standing when I did the call. I was in between the tents. I have also placed an x where the rock landed and it was behind the x on Kelly. The x in the woods on the right is where I heard the russling and thought the rock came from and the x behind the tents in the woods is where Dan thought the rock came from...........bottom line........it came in alright lol

That makes alot of sense Shasta - when I heard it come in, I thought it had hit to my right, which is where the tree is - then it hit next to you.......
