Hello,
I'm Jay Michael, producer of the web based TV program, Conundrums. We are currently scripting season two of the program and considering a program on the Alabama Bigfoot.

I am writing to ask if someone in your group would be interested in appearing on camera for the episode?
We would need someone knowledgeable in the subject and history of Bigfoot sightings in Alabama, who could answer questions in an interview setting.

Principle photography for season two will begin in March 2008. We will continue to gather footage and interviews throughout the spring at various locations in the south, so we can plan the interview anytime in that time-frame per the volunteers schedule.

Since we are based in Mississippi, traveling to Alabama will not be a problem.

Conundrums is currently in season one, you can view the program by visiting http://www.cryptovideography.com and clicking on the Conundrums link.

We are expanding the program for season two and will include interviews and longer episodes.

The "Alabama Bigfoot" episode will be a positive look at sightings in the state and history of encounters. The volunteer will appear as an expert resident and give information on historical as well as current events or sightings in the area.

If you know of a member of your group who would be interested in appearing on the program I would appreciate if you could contact me, or have them contact me at: staff@cryptovideography.com

We look forward to producing an informative and quality episode on Bigfoot in Alabama, and hope to add this episode to season two of Conundrums!

Thank you for your consideration!

Sincerely,
Jay Michael

Just make sure, Mike, the person you get has all their teeth! The news always seems to get the most homely looking somebody to put on camera. LOL   and please who ever it is, NO dale earnhardt shirt or hat is to be worn at the interview.

Well dang White Thing, I guess that rules me out. LOL

We are what we are. No use in trying to pretend to be something we ain't.

If anyone is interested, just let me know.

I could go buy me some of those "BUBBA" teeth and put em' in. I think a old "justa swanging" shirt and a Bud light hat that says "I love you, man!" is what I'd wear. I believe in doing Alabama proud!! Oh yeah, I'd have to say "Roll tide" about 50 times. LOL No disrespect to anyone, just making a funny.

You forgot the big tattoo that says, "Mamma"! LOL

Mississippi gets her fair share of jokes too. Usually involves outhouses. ;-)

But anyway it doesn't matter what you wear. Our programs are about content more than fluff and entertainment. Though we do attempt to do a quality show with some entertainment value.  Our motto is to try to produce a show that doesn't have a 'network agenda' and just let the info speak for itself.
We all know there are no 'experts' but a person can have knowledge and experience on this subject.

We'd like to produce a program that features the Alabama Bigfoot and the history of sightings in the state. Show some evidence like casts, play some sounds and let the viewer wake up to the knowledge that indeed there are critters down here, not just in the PNW. We don't want to beat them over the head with it, just show it and talk about it and let them see the multitude of sightings, history and evidence.
I guess in it's own way, that too is an agenda. But it's the truth. And 'Truth' is something lacking in many TV shows.

I don't do alot of advertising for the show. I post a link now and then and let people find it themselves.
We don't make any money from the TV show, but we do make some money from DVD sales. I make no excuses about that because it takes some money to do this stuff.
I've probably spent as much money on video equipment as many of you have spent on research equipment.  Just as you do research because it's your passion, we do this for the same reason. So we consider the money well spent.
Why do I bring up money? Because I offer any group the same deal. If your group is looking for a way to raise money for research, a DVD for sale can do that.  I can talk more about that if anyone is interested. Suffice it to say, we produce a documentary and your group can sell it and make money.  The Bigfooting in Oklahoma DVD is done this way, Esther makes money off it from her sales.  In fact, she has made more money than we do because her profit is greater.

But back to Conundrums. We are scripting season two and while looking around the web for ideas i came up with the Alabama Bigfoot idea as a program for season 2.  This year we will be expanding and doing some non-bigfoot shows too, but we don't want to stray too far from cryptozoology. And we are trying not to repeat what other TV shows have done. Though that is next to impossible. ;-)
We are going to put season one on CD for folks that want to load them on their Ipod.
This program could go on for a long time. Just as the name says, we all have questions and conundrums and questions never run out. There is a lot of crap on the internet and I'd like to think that Conundrums is one place to get good information, and accurate.

So, we are looking for someone in Alabama that can talk on the subject and convey information about sightings there. We are not going to blow into town and make you look like hicks or idiots. We don't do tonge-in-cheek shows. No winks and nods.
We don't have a network breathing down our necks to come back with something silly they can hype or build up to sell advertising.  We just do our little show.

If anyone has questions I'd be happy to answer them. You can ask here or email me. I enjoy doing this and in the long run we make enough money for gas and cigarettes. LOL But it's good exposure for your group and web site. And it gives us content to work with.

Thanks for the consideration!
J.
