Not my cup of tea but others might be interested. BF is complicated enough without lumping too much other unexplained phenomena with it.

Then again, what do I know?

Hi Dixie,

Just wondering in your many encounters, through the years, if you had ever heard any of these so called "beeps"?  Seems really odd to me.

Thanks for article,

goodgoing

No ma'am, I don't recall that I have, of course anything might be possible.

I do know that if I hear "beeping" noises, I would immediately get out of the way, as things, especially big "objects," that normally have "beeping" noises, are usually backing up with flashing red lights. Haha

Joking

Well.... the article was written by a person that hears "beeping" INSIDE his head.... might reduce the credibility on that one a bit....

The daughter of a friend said she heard a beeping sound coming across their pasture, one night a few weeks ago. She said it sounded like a smoke alarm beeping. When she first heard it, it was a long way off, & came closer, then stopped & beeped, then moved away, still beeping.

A few weeks before that, they heard what sounded like a car alarm in the same area.

The nearest road in that direction is about 2 miles away.

I've heard a strange whirring noise a couple of times that was close. It kinda reminds me of when we kids used to put a playing card in the spokes of our bicycles to make noise.

Could it be possible they are imitating the sounds they've heard being so close to us and all of our car and house sounds?  If a beeping noise was in the woods though, my first thought would be a frog or a bird.  There is a bird here around my house (I live in town now) that sounds like it does a constant beep.  It just doesn't do it for very long.  Any birders here?

Years ago I heard, what I refer to as the "baby hawk" very high up in a tree.  I strained my eyes very hard, never could see it, but I'd heard it more than a few times. No other birds were around, if they were, their little mouths were clamped shut.   The weird thing is, this game preserve had thousands of trees, mostly scrub and post oak, growing nearly to the ground in some cases, but most of the time it was eerily very, very quiet.  I NEVER wanted to go in there, under any circumstances.
