A friend of mine that fishes regularly at the location where we will be having the October outing in NW Alabama, sent me an email with a picture this past weekend. He and his son were walking along the shoreline looking at the various wildlife tracks. They found several deer, coon, possum, coyote and what looked like bear and big cat tracks there. The last two tracks were old and had been rained in several times. While in the process of doing this they came upon one track that had both men scratching their head. Keep in mind, that these two men are avid outdoorsmen and they both have been coming to this location for many years. Interest in strange vocalizations at this location is how the father and I have gotten to know each other in relation toward BF. I'll post the rest of this message using the Father's exact words without revealing his identity or the site's location.

Bear, have you been to xxxxxxxxx at xxxxxxxxx lately? My son and myself went there yesterday and walked around awhile. I found a print right on the water line. It was strange looking. It was about a men's size 11, but was about 5.5 inches wide up right before the toes. There were five toes and they were all kind of short. That was the only print that we could find. We walked all up and down the water but couldn't find another like it. It could have been a human print, but was very wide. My son took a picture with his cell phone which I'm sending you. I wish we had some plaster or at least something to measure it with. We will be more prepared the next time. All we had this time was a cell phone with a camera on it and a .357 magnum loaded with hollow points. We didn't take the gun for a BF, we took it for the two legged creatures that we see everyday. The ones that might have a cash crop growing in those woods and don't want anyone to know about it. They scare me worse than any other animal known or unknown.

They might wish to keep a pint of liquid plastic handy.

It's the stuff you use to dip hand tool (i.e. screwdriver) handles into to attain a better grip surface.

Sets up quickly, is pliable afterwards so breakage issues are almost nonexistent and shows detail/definition very well.

Most hardware/home improvement retailers carry it usually in the paint section.
